Pastor / Director of Student Ministry 

Frye Farm Campus

  • Experience 3-5 years

  • Salary compensated based off experience

  • Serves as the key leader of the Student Ministry team to fulfill Charter Oak Church’s vision, mission, and convictions. This leadership will be provided by:

    • Leading all aspects of Student Ministry.

    • Overseeing weekly gatherings, small groups, and team meetings.

    • Recruiting, training, and deploying volunteers, volunteer leaders, and student leaders.

    • Cultivating and providing an environment for thriving spiritual growth for students.

    • Providing biblically accurate, engaging, and culturally relevant teaching.

    • Collaborating with the Coordinator of Student Ministry Worship.

    • Facilitating the transition from 5th grade to Student Ministry, and from Student Ministry to Young Adult Ministry.

    • Planning and coordinating events including retreats, mission trips and community events.

    • Developing and implementing strategies for equipping parents.

    • Initiating and maintaining regular contact, communication, and relationship building with parents, students, and volunteers.

    • Maintaining a presence in the local middle and high schools to build relationships with teachers and administrators, support students, and serve the community.

    • Formulating and implementing a ministry plan to reach unchurched students in the community.

    • Creating and managing the annual Student Ministry budget and calendar.

    • Utilizing the church database for accurate attendance tracking, reporting, registrations, and workflows.

    • Implementing an ongoing social media strategy.


Director of Outreach

Frye Farm Campus

  • $25,000 annual salary

  • 25 hours per week

  • Part time – no benefits

  • Community Outreach

    • Leads the campus in recruiting, training, and deploying people to serve in community outreach. This leadership will be provided by:

    • Developing and building relationships with local, faith-based organizations in order to understand community dynamics and how the Frye Farm Campus can meet their needs.

    • Working with the Director of Discipleship to recruit, train, and deploy people to serve in community outreach.

    • Coordinating with team leaders and current partnerships to provide leadership and direction to volunteers on community outreach teams.

    • Planning and implementing a calendar for multiple community outreach opportunities and events.

    • Communicating opportunities to serve in the community to the Frye Farm Campus.

    • Overseeing or assigning designated leader to oversee outside organizations meeting at the campus such as MOPS, Food Pantry Distribution, Red Cross Blood Drive, and other community partners.

  • Reaching New People

    • Integrating prayer as the foundation for outreach and creates opportunities and environments for reaching new people in the community with the Gospel. This leadership will be provided by:

      • Working with the Director of Discipleship to recruit, train, and deploy people to reach people in their circle of influence.

      • Collaborating with the Director of Connections to connect active leads to become first time guests from outreach opportunities and environments.

      • Providing opportunities for people to develop a life-long calling of relationally reaching people with the Gospel in conjunction with the Director of Discipleship.

      • Providing environments inside the Frye Farm Campus that meets a need in the community.

      • Providing environments outside the Frye Farm Campus to reach new people with Gospel.

      • Championing the B.L.E.S.S. model.
