Adelphoi Prayer Partners

Do you have a heart to model the love of Jesus to at-risk youth in our region? Since December 2021, Charter Oak Church has had a Prayer Partner ministry with the young men in residential care at the Adelphoi Vincent Home in Latrobe. Prayer Partners are paired with one of the boys for whom they pray daily, send monthly letters/gifts, and participate in a quarterly Saturday afternoon visit, where the Prayer Partners engage in conversation, share a meal, play games, and hear a message from the Frye Farm Director of Student Ministry.

Food Pantry
& Clothes Closet

There is unseen, generational poverty in Westmoreland County and Unity Township. One of the results is food scarcity - every night adults, students, and kids go to bed hungry. We may not be able to break the generational poverty of our area, but we can donate our time, share a kind conversation, and help fill dinner tables as a way to show the love of Jesus.

Food Delivery: The 3rd Friday of Every Month from 9-11AM Unload, Sort, and Store Food delivered by Westmoreland County Food Bank

Food Distribution and Clothes Closet: Saturday morning following delivery from 8-11AM

Set up and distribute food, clothing and household items to our neighbors. Volunteers of all ages are welcome.

Blood Drive

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:7-8

Volunteer to donate blood or serve at a blood drive event, which takes place at the Frye Farm Campus from 11:30am to 6:00pm.

The Union Mission

The Union Mission is a men's shelter located in Latrobe that engages our homeless neighbors across Westmoreland County, providing short term housing, case management services, life skills training, and spiritual development to restore housing and belonging.

Charter Oak Church has partnered with The Union Mission to prepare and serve lunch once a month to the residents. The goal of this ministry is to model Jesus as we serve and build relationships with the residents.

Ways to serve:

Prepare and serve lunch on the first Saturday of the month.

Prepare and serve breakfast on the second and fourth Friday of the month

Serve in a variety of ways in order to increase frequency of contact with the residents to nurture relationship building.
